Winter Clothing Drive Event

Come enjoy warm winter beverages (boozy and non) and bring a warm, hat, gloves, or coat to donate to Janus Youth.
Would you like to knit or crochet a hat to gift to a loved one or to donate in the future? We will be giving lessons! Bring your own supplies or use some of ours!
Janus Youth has many programs, several of them serving homeless youth. Please help us keep everyone warm this winter with the gift of a new or gently used hat or coat or gloves. We have several teen-approved product recommendations here. You are also welcome to make a financial contribution toward our goal of contributing 30 items.
* This event is at the private residence of Kindred Causes supporter Nick Glading. All are welcome.

We raised over $400 in a raffle fundraiser for the Letty Owings Center, a unique program of Central City Concern.
​
The center offers residential treatment for women recovering from drug addiction and alcoholism. Mothers have the option to have their children with them in care. Kindred Causes supports this model, where women do not have to choose between recovery and being with their kids everyday, but instead are supported to grow as parents while recovering from addiction.
At Letty Owings mothers become clean, sober and hopeful - able to reconnect with their children who might otherwise be placed in foster care.

Our raffle and auction to benefit Portland AMBUCS raised $1,997.50. Thank you to all our donors!

Your generous donations will help provide Amtryke therapeutic tricycles for Marley and David later this spring. We contributed to a third tricycle as well!

Inaugural Event: KIND Fundraiser with Look Long Brewing Company, August 2018
Thank you to everyone who participated in and supported our fundraiser for Kids in Need of Defense (KIND).
We raised $1200!

It was a lovely evening enjoying Look Long's brews, local cider, and live music.
